Refund policy
We want you to feel confident about your Modern Rugged purchase. Here’s how returns and warranty claims work.
Returns
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original condition, with all original packaging included.
Customers are responsible for return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method.
Exchanges
To exchange an item, return your original purchase according to this policy and place a new order for the item you prefer.
Our Lifetime Warranty
Our warranty covers defects in stitching and hardware for the usable life of the leather.
Coverage stays with the bag, including when it passes to a new owner.
Covered components include:
- Stitching in seams and stitched attachment points
- Zippers, buckles, studs, and other metal fittings
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or accidental damage. Natural creases, surface scuffs, softening, and changes in color or sheen are part of leather’s character and are not defects by themselves.
We’ll review your claim and arrange an appropriate repair or replacement for a covered defect.
Warranty Shipping
Please contact us before sending an item. If a return is required, customers are responsible for shipping it to Modern Rugged.
A $5 shipping fee applies when a warranty replacement is sent to a United States address. International replacement shipping fees vary by destination and will be confirmed during the claim process.
If your item will be repaired and returned, we will confirm any applicable return shipping charge before you send it.
Free shipping on new United States orders is separate from warranty shipping.
